A New Chapter in My Life - Blackberry House

I suppose it's high time I let you know what I've been doing since I left my "I'm-gonna-die-if-I-stay-at-this place" retail job.

I've been holding off to tell you until I got my blog makeover, which should be complete this week, but I decided to give you a little preview anyway. Cuz I can't keep a good secret.

I opened my own retail store!
Yes I did. Finally.
We opened this past weekend to a fantastic reception.
I've been working on it for the past 7 weeks, rushing to get it ready.

Instead of going in to great detail on this post, I'm just going to link you to my facebook page for the shop where you can see hundreds of pictures in the photo albums.
Once I get the new makeover on the blog - which will then become Blackberry House - I will share the whole story.

So, without further ado, meet Blackberry House! We're so very proud of it.
We have so many great vendors, which I'll also tell you about in the next post.

Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect to see in the shop!
We had a soft opening on July 19th, but our Grand Opening Celebration will be August 9-12.
I wanted a few weeks to see what the response was, what people were asking for, etc, before we introduced the shop formally to the community.

I'd love to know what you think!

  3. Polly! : ) Congratulations! That sounds wonderful. Vendors? ~ sounds like the type of place I'm looking for myself. More and more I'm wanting to do smething like a booth, especially since there are places all over here. The problem is finding a space! I'm not on Facebook anymore, but I'll be waiting patiently to see more pictures. So happy to see you!
