Guess What? I quit my job.

Ok, when it's been so long since you've blogged that you didn't recognize your blogger dashboard for a minute, something is wrong! lol

Well, I'm just stepping in for a minute to tell you something.
I know I haven't been blogging since the first of the year, nor have i been visiting any of you other than on facebook in the wee hours of the morning or night, and I am so sorry.

I didn't mean to abandon my blog. Truly I didn't.
It happened behind my back.
When I took this retail management job over a year ago, I never knew it was
going to cost me so much of my time. Seriously, I work between 80-90 hours a week.
When I get home all I want to do is sleep.
Thank God I have a husband who takes care of everything 'home'.

But........But...........BUT......
Guess What???

My day of freedom is right around the corner!
Yep, that's right - I quit my job.
Yes I did. Yes, even in this economy.
I'll explain later and I promise you'll understand why.

May 12th is my last day, and I'll return to active full time blogging on May 13th.

Oh, I have so much to tell you about.
Projects, projects, projects!

So ladies and gents, I'll see you soon.
Keep me in your reader, ok?

  1. I love your dancing person. You have to do what is best for you and your family. That is way too many hours to work in a week........can't wait to hear more.
I am slowing down as well and feel guilty since my Hubby can't. He came home late last night and was so stressed he could hardly eat dinner.
Good luck......we will be here when you come back.

  11. No wonder you are doing the happy dance. My husband recently started a new job but we are living on a greatly reduced income but there is WAY less stress in his new job. It doesn't hurt that much when you don't have all that extra stress and head ache. Good luck to you.

    blessings,
    Danielle

  12. Polly,
You will certainly be missed where you have put in all those hours. I shop there often and it was evident to me when you took over that someone with talent was finally getting that store whipped into shape. I'm so happy for you though. You have certainly been missed in blog land. I have a link to your blog on mine and I would check every day to see if you had made a post. So glad that you will be back and sharing all of your great projects with us! May God bless your family as you start this new chapter.
    Blessings,
    Patty

  14. Thank you for the encouragement everyone. This has been coming on for a while. Unfortunately, I cannot work 80-90 hours a week AND take care of my house, my family, and my health. i'll let you all in on my plans in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for hanging around with me!

  15. Polly!
My sweet goodness... I don't know how I missed this new information! I HAVE YOU ON MY SIDE BAR...It just didn't catch my eye I guess.
I am happy for you-- I'm sure you've given this much thought and prayers. Things happen for a purpose and sometimes for only a season. I know that you will certainly be putting God's will in PRIORITY and in all your decision making ... can't wait to hear your testimony and see you blogging again!
